Introducing Preschool Prodigies!

Accelerated Piano Lab

The Accelerated Piano Lab is designed to yield the greatest results for beginner through intermediate players. Using a mix of traditional methods plus technology, the APL students spend an hour with me each week learning and growing exponentially. They also have use of the technology at home to aide in at-home practice.

Private Lessons

My private piano lessons are the perfect launching board for the tiniest learners as well as my advanced students. These lessons provide the structure and attention needed to teach the basics or hone the skill of advancing students, especially those aiming for a future in music.

Preschool Prodigies

Little ones between 4-5 years old are invited to join weekly classes that explore instruments, playing in rhythm, creating tonal patterns, singing in solfege and more! This is a wonderful class to begin to help your preschooler love playing and listening to music.

KW Music Studio is a well-reputed, neighborhood-based music studio specializing in piano, theory, accompanying, and more!

Performance opportunities include festivals, recitals, and local competitions as well as master-class type lessons.

Meet Your Teacher Kristin Wychopen

My passion as a veteran piano/music teacher is to invest in the lives of my students. My Spring TX Studio emanates positive energy and skilled instruction that propels students into achieving their musical goals and dreams.

My love for music started with my neighborhood piano teacher, Mrs. Cowen. She launched me into the world of music for the last 30+ years. I have also studied under Dr. Hendrickson at HBU and hold advanced certifications in music theory, composition, and pedagogy.

I have honed my music improvisation skills and guided many of my students in music composition.

Hundreds of students have been through my studio since 2008. Along with my music studio, I am a freelance professional pianist accompanist for local school districts and vocal studios.

Online Piano Lessons

If your child has an electric keyboard or regular piano at home, a strong internet connection, and the ability to join a lesson via Facetime or Zoom, then online lessons might be a good fit!

I teach students all over the country online, and I'm happy to offer this to students who may not be able to travel to my home studio for any reason.

2024-2025 School Year Offerings

KW Music Studio runs from August–May; tuition covers sixteen lessons in the Fall

and seventeen lessons in the Spring semester.

Mid-year enrollment is always an option depending on space available.

Your monthly fixed rate covers the 33 lessons, but has been pro-rated for a consistent monthly tuition.

Two makeups per semester can be requested due to illness or travel.

Additional make-ups are at the discretion of KW Music Studio.

Booking a free trial lesson will give your family all the tools and information to properly assess if my studio would be a good fit for your family.

Register For Lessons Today!

All lessons are billed on a monthly basis, starting in the month you sign up for lessons and ending in May of the following year. You pay the same amount per month per student regardless of how many lessons are in a month. Some months have more lessons, and some have less. We have simply divided the number of lessons in a school year into equal payments.

INSTRUCTIONS: Fill out your child's name, your name, email, and cell phone number. Then select the type of lesson you wish to enroll your child in for this school year. Enter your credit card information. Your card will be charged today for the Today's Charge (excluding the registration fee), then each month on the same day of the month for the Monthly Price through May of next year. Repeat this process for each additional child.

NOTE: A $20 Registration Fee will be billed in

August and January.
